I might not mind a pipe or cigar
  • My view on drinking:
    I rarely drink
  • On the subject of children:
    I don't know/not sure/if God wills
  • Tell us about your family. How do you feel about relocating?:
I am not looking to relocate any time soon. I feel that being around my family here is important, and as I’m establishing a cattery here, it would be difficult to move. However, if God wills and gives that clear direction, I would be open to moving. I would prefer to remain in the PacNW because of family.
  • How have the Doctrines of Grace changed or affected your life?:
They have given me hope and comfort - my salvation is not up to me nor contingent on my own righteousness- but Jesus’. He took on God’s wrath on my behalf, and lived the burden of a perfect life before God because I could not. It was all by God’s grace and move, and nothing from my own deserving of salvation- which I do not; none of us can ever deserve it!
  • Do you have a "Quiet Time?" What are you studying?:
Yes, I do devotions every morning with my first cup of coffee. I am skipping around through the New Testament and am going through Hebrews currently. Every now and then I'll switch things up with a Psalm!
  • Who is your favorite Biblical Character and why?:
Probably Paul, as he was very real about what he had done prior to his conversion, and because he spoke boldly about Christ without fear.
  • Are you content being single? Why? If not, why?:
Most of the time, but that could simply be due to being accustomed to it over time. My new job (and old one too, for that matter) and a life-long dream to work with animals (starting a cattery) keeps me pretty busy - so I don’t have a lot of time to sit around feeling lonely or pining for a husband. That being said, there are times when I wish I had a partner to share things with other than immediate family members.
  • What are four qualities your friends would attribute to you?:
    Organized Witty Intentional Creative
  • What are three things you are most thankful for?:
God’s saving grace in my life and other’s. A loving and supporting family. A job with future opportunities and the ability to work.
  • Describe the character and personality traits you enjoy in another person? What are yours?:
What I look for in men: a godly leader who is patient, kind, and loves the Lord. Someone who is not quick to anger. Someone who is not looking for Ms. Barbie Perfection. I enjoy being around people who think deeply and are able to have intellectual conversations. Of course I’m always down for a relaxing movie or a fun board-game too! Lately I have been renewed in my goal for healthy living and getting back in shape by walking regularly - and changing to a healthier diet and reducing chemicals in the home. I would like to be with a person that will support me in these choices. While I do not expect, nor want, everyone around me to agree perfectly in Reformed doctrine and political beliefs, I do feel that it is important for spouses to be on the same page for these things.
  • Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and how?:
That's a tough one. I'm not sure there is anyone who has really been influential in my life besides my parents. I've had few (and only fleeting) friendships in life, and I'm not really close with my sibling or that family. I suppose there were influential people for brief periods of my life, but there are none that stand out.
  • What contributed to your previous relationship/marriage ending?:
Previous relationships failed because I believe they were not true believers, despite their claims. And those who may have truly have been believers, they weren’t Reformed and we weren’t on the same page on all the points that matter. I'm not delusional to think that any couple can (or should) think exactly the same and never have any differences of opinion - but I do not want to be in a relationship where we don't believe the same for the important things.
  • How long have you been on your own since and what did you to do get through it?:
It’s been about 14 years since my last *real* relationship. Had a couple dates since then but nothing ever came of them. It was tough for some of those years - I experienced many disappointments and unreciprocated interests. And I got a really bad taste in my mouth from this site in the past. Sadly, I read and interacted with some of the most unrealistic, shallow, and un-Christlike behavior from supposedly Christian (and Reformed) men here than any of the secular guys I’ve met over the years in school or work. At least non Christian men don't pretend about what they're thinking and their expectations. This turned me off, yet again, to the idea of relationships. Overall it’s been a roller coaster 14 years...So why am I back on this site until June 12th? I guess there's a small part of me that still holds out hope. Every six months or so I join back up for a month....
  • Favorite lines from movies, poems, songs, hymns or Scripture you would like to tell us about?:
There are too many to count!!! Not poems, though. I really am not into poetry... too abstract for me.
  • What type of work do/did you do?:
I work for the federal government.
  • How long have you been/were you in that line of work? Do/you enjoy it?:
Almost 2 years. I see potential for the future - not so sure about the enjoyment factor as it’s a starting level, unappreciated position and it was a “foot in the door” benefit to take the job. I’m interested in what it might bring in the future, though, and I'm focusing on networking a lot now there... Ultimately, I would like to grow my cattery to a point where it can be a main source of income, and maybe only have to do telecommute or part time work to supplement. I'm involved in several direct sales "side" jobs as well as my day job and the cattery. Those all keep me pretty busy. That will be a long time from now, if ever, for me to be able to work from home on these things... but God opened a lot of doors for these two “jobs”, so I’m trusting He will lead me somewhere with them both. I'm interested in the possibility of pursuing a job as a Business Analyst/Operations Management (there are many different names for it...). We'll see!
  • Do you have any life-long goals? What are they?:
(Does anyone every really answer “no”? Lol) Yes, I have a desire to be more financially independent and successful (in a job) than I am now; I hope to live out my gratitude for salvation more fully. I hope to grow closer to God than I am now and be bolder about by beliefs to those around me.
  • Where were you born and where have you traveled?:
Born in Washington. I’ve traveled to Canada, Mexico and Costa Rica, and much of the US by way of road trips.
  • How do you enjoy your leisure time? What do you do for recreation?:
I like to crochet or generally make things; drawing is a rare luxury but I do enjoy that. Most of my free time is taken up with my cattery (raising and selling Burmese kittens) or my side jobs (beauty products and reduced-chemical cleaning products). I enjoy listening to books (Audible) on the way to work/doing chores. I listen to The Blaze for all my news/entertainment and watch movies or series with the family some weeknights and weekends to relax. I enjoy learning about a wide variety of things, and will request to take as much training opportunities as are offered through my work as possible.
  • Is there anything that the questionnaire didn’t cover?:
At the risk of sounding too rigid, there are some things that I am unlikely to ever change, and if you're not ok with these points, then don't waste both our time. I would have a hard time respecting a man who didn't also agree with these things, even if only in part for some of the below: - I am Reformed (yeah, yeah, like "everyone" on this site) but specifically, I hold to the OPC and URC (and some tenants from other denominations on a case-by-case basis) beliefs and am not interested in debating over "believers baptism" or other controversies. I don't mean to be rude, but there's really no point of trying for a relationship if you're not on the same page doctrinally. A few points of disagreement here or there, sure, that'll happen as we're all fallible human beings, but on the main tenants of doctrine? No, I'm sorry. That doesn't work in my opinion. - I'm an unapologetic Conservative & Pro-Life voter (lean Libertarian in some things but not all). #KAG2020 ! - I love my indoor-only cats and would not be happy in a home without them. I have nothing against also having dogs/other pets, but cats are a must. - I listen to The Blaze TV. If you can't agree with Conservative politics, I have a feeling we wouldn't get along ... - I have very little faith in "traditional" Western medicine - I don't buy into the "just prescribe pills" methodology of standard American doctors. Behind these doctors and hospitals is Big Pharma pushing their own agenda to bilk the populace for even more $$$ without enough concern for the long term effects that all these drugs are having on us. Whenever possible, I always opt for holistic/natural remedies. It's a rough day when I break down and have to use ibuprofen or others... - I am pro-military and pro-2A. 'Nuf said. - If you are very "outdoorsy" and physically active I think that's great - I wouldn't stop you or want you to be more of a home-body like I am - in many ways I would admire those qualities in another person. I might even join you on some things, but please don't expect me to become like you in that way. That's not who I am. I am neither, quite obviously, a "gym rat", although I wouldn't be opposed to spending more time in a gym. - I don't know if I will ever become a great cook/enjoy working in the kitchen. I have no burning desire to be the stereotypical "barefoot wife in the kitchen" (in fact, I can't stand being barefoot ever!), but I can follow recipes when I have to. If I had a different life/work situation, maybe I would take up cooking more. It's just never been a priority or need.
  • O mnie:
I moved back to my hometown two years ago to start a new career. I prefer to listen to news (The Blaze) over music. I also love audiobooks in general and bounce between novels, educational, historical, and Christian themed. I spend a lot of time on social media (mainly FB) for networking/business purposes. I have recently used Zoom quite a bit for both business and family use. I am not on this site often. I have a membership here until June 12 (2020) then will get out of it for a while again as per my routine the past 6+ years; if you've read EVERYTHING in this profile and are still interested in chatting, please send me a message here. I don't know if God has plans for me to ever get married, as I do not fit the desired "mold" of most Christian men (especially from what I've read on this site from many of the male profiles). But - but - if God wants me to be married then He'll bring along the right person for me, and vice versa; I have trouble believing that is possible, but I also believe that with God all things are possible. Oh, and #KAG!
  • Moje zainteresowania:
My interests include, but are not limited to: spending time with family, my side businesses, and hobbies. My hobbies include art, crafts, DIY projects, and my cattery. I also enjoy target practicing on the range or outdoors. I am not an expert but love technology and learning about technological advancements. Although I have to use a PC at work, I much prefer Macs! It would not be a deal breaker if you use a PC, but do not expect that I will ever change over to using one for home/personal!
