Tell us about your family. How do you feel about relocating?

I recently relocated to Scotland for my work and I am extremely settled here. Ideally I’d like to stay. I am the youngest in my family with 3 older brother. Born into a Christian home, my mum passed away when I was young. My dad is a strong man of God and I’m grateful for the relationship we share. Haven’t really lived at home since being 18.

How old were you when you were drawn to Christ and how is your Christian walk these days?

I was around 24. It was a period of time, not an overnight experience. God was so patient and kind with me and He remains so. I have been blown away by his sovereign hand over the last year or so. His plan is so perfect and I keep having to pitch myself when I look over the recent years and see how far He has brought me.

How have the Doctrines of Grace changed or affected your life?

I was involved in the charismatic church as a new believer. About 3 years in I had questions about the things I saw and heard. After doing a study throughout the word on ‘the fear of the Lord’ I began to understand the depth and riches of of His grace over sinners. Something which isn’t really taught in the charismatic church, we are sinners! Since then I have continued to be amazed at just how lavish His love truly is. It is only when we see our sin that we see the depths of His grace. J.C. Ryle’s holiness is great for this.

Do you have a "Quiet Time?" What are you studying?

I’ll be honest, I struggle with this. But I do go through phases. I tend to use study aids, usually Ryle or Spurgeon and I love The Valley of Vision for focusing my mind

Who is your favorite Biblical Character and why?

too many

Are you content being single? Why? If not, why?

Depends when you ask, haha! Again, I go through phases. At the moment I am pretty content but it hasn’t always been that way. I think that’s pretty normal. It isn’t always easy being single but then I have enjoyed the blessings that have come through not being married, moving around for work, just taking off at a moments notice to go hiking or kayaking. There are joys and hardships to be had in both and I think it is about how you learn and grow through it that helps.

What are four qualities your friends would attribute to you?

1. Bubbly 2.hospitable 3.resourceful 4.’you’re like a 1950’s housewife with 21st century skills’

What are three things you are most thankful for?

1. The short time I had with my mum.
2. My current location, work and church.
3. The amazing life God has taken me on since knowing Him

Describe the character and personality traits you enjoy in another person? What are yours?

I like someone who knows their convictions and why, a deep thinker. I love cozy nights in but I also love getting outdoors and go crazy if I don’t. I’d love to find a guy who likes getting out into the wild. I also like practical guys. I’m pretty nifty with the power tools but I’m no master. I am 100% an Ephesians 5 kinda gal and you need to be an Ephesians 5 kinda guy.

Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and how?

I have been blessed to have worked for an amazing Reformed Mission organisation. The Man that was the director and his wife and also the man who was the principle of the school that the mission ran and his wife have been and still are amazing influencers. Along with the pastor of the first reformed church I attended.

What contributed to your previous relationship/marriage ending?

I wasn’t a believer and I came to know Christ!

How long have you been on your own since and what did you to do get through it?

Since I was saved, coming up for 14 years!!! Just knowing that it is better to have Christ then to compromise for the world or even someone who is maybe a believer but on a totally different theological page is what gets me through.

Favorite lines from movies, poems, songs, hymns or Scripture you would like to tell us about?

Colossians 3:1-17

What type of work do/did you do?

I’m a PA in a Christian publishers

How long have you been/were you in that line of work? Do/you enjoy it?

this role 1 year – similar roles 10 year +

Do you have any life-long goals? What are they?

To be as self sufficient as possible.
To be a wife.
To be a mum.

Where were you born and where have you traveled?

Born in Greater Manchester. Travelled all across western and eastern Europe, lived in Spain for a year. Visited West African and Canada. Still lots of places on the list

How do you enjoy your leisure time? What do you do for recreation?
