About Me

I am Peter(36) (Pullaiah) from India, saved at the age of 16. I was born and raised in a Hindu (untouchable Dalit) background but saved by God’s grace. The untouchable best example in Bible Mark 1:40-42(40 A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.”41Jesus was indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” 42 Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.) Basically, In India so much practicing cast system. Village means caste, caste means village. Higher cast people are not allowing us to their homes, temples as well as we can’t sit with them. Our areas called named as notice Dalit.

Dalits, also known as ”Untouchables,” are members of the lowest social group in the Hindu caste system. The word ”Dalit” means ”oppressed” or ”broken”. A Dalit is actually born below the caste system, which includes four primary castes: Brahmins (priests), Kshatriya (warriors and princes), Vaishya (farmers and artisans), and Shudra (tenant farmers and servants).

Indians believed that people were born as Untouchables as punishment for misbehavior in previous lives. An Untouchable could not ascend to a higher caste within that lifetime; Untouchables had to marry fellow Untouchables and could not eat in the same room or drink from the same well as a caste member.

When did you hear about Jesus Christ?

When I was Studying 6th standard (Telugu language Medium) we have a story about Mother Teresa, in that story, she said about Lord Jesus Christ. First time I heard about Lord Jesus at the age of 12. I thought Oh Jesus also God, I never knew Him. I visited the church in my village, I said my father I went church, my father rebuke me, Jesus is not our God, we have another God’s (so many Idols God’s in India). So, I did not go Church because I obey my earthly father. My father full against Christianity.

How did you come to Faith?

It is quite interesting. When I was at the age of 16, I failed +2(12th standard), I was working night time as a marble stones maker from my house to every day I am walking up and down road 12 kilometers. While I was coming and going, I saw the Bible quote written on the street walls like this John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”, Luke 5:32 “I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” These scriptures are written in the Telugu language. I read that scripture while I was going to my work evening as well as when I was coming to my home.

I heard the Gospel!

One christens family near to my house, I had some work with him, I went there home, that day was May 21st, 2000, He shared Gospel with me. I confess as well I repent my sins. I put faith in Christ. He gave me the bible in my native language, every day I am secretly reading the Bible because I had so much scared to my father. I was going to church without knowing my father I kept my bible inside of the shirt. 3 years later I took baptism. Finally, my father got the information I am fallowing Christ. So many arguments between me and my father, I said to my father whatever you do, I will decide I will follow Christ. In my village we have a brethren denomination church I grow in that church.

My Family: both my mother and father were illiterate, 4years ago my mother passed away recently May 4th, 2020 my father passed away. I have two brothers they got married.

favorite activities: Sharing Gospel with students, meeting with people cancer others, etc, listening to sermons, meeting with people, I am a good cook inviting people to my home and serve to my brother and sister, I like walking, so many …ask me, please

My education: I am the only person in my family who graduate in computer science. I worked as a Computer teacher in a school in Hyderabad city as well as a customer care executive. I grow in the brethren church up to 2016.

How did I become reformed?

When I was in Hyderabad city I subscribe to one YouTube channel I will be honest. My first reformed sermon I listen to Paul washer shocking message as well as John MacArthur’s sermons listing Its quite different. That is my reformed foundation.

Partiality in Churches

I am rejected by people based on my color, cast, and cash (I am not rich). God never rejects me based on my color, social status, and race. In India, Christianity is 2% we have 1.38 Billion people. In my previous church, they were shown so much partiality. In churches so much cast system as well as social status. Now I came to faith in Christ 20years ago I saw in christen marriage very rarely inter-caste marriage like single digits. Here based on social status in a rural area(village) fallows Cast, Color, Cash In urban-like fallow Popularity, Personality and prosperity. Jesus became a poor forsake of us, but I never seen my journey rich women marry poor men, as well as rich men, marry to poor women. Tim Keller said “Marriage Is two spiritual finds helping one another”, In India same caste same social status “Two commercial friends helping one another”

personal goals in life?

have only one desire and that is to glorify God whatever it may be poor or rich. I don’t want a name or fame. I have to be faithful, not successful. Faithfulness is one of the most important things in Christian life. I want to be faithful to my Lord Jesus and If I get married I want to be faithful to my wife. That’s all.

current occupation.

I have never seen entire my christen journey this kind of church here no partiality, no caste system Praise God I have no words to say about this present church, God gave a such a wonderful church the present Church they have shown me so much compassion, love and caring, I am a member of this church I am working as Administrative assistant for Reformed Presbyterian Church in since 2018 onwards as well as front office executive morning times. I have recently started my cooking business

I am not a great English-speaking person. I was born and raised in Telugu language family, but I am reading the Bible in English, watching and listening to English sermons, I communicate with my church members in English because I am attending a Presbyterian Reformed church. No one speaks Telugu there. I hope people will understand my English. By God’s grace, I am improving my English skills also. Thank you so much for reading my story!
