Tell us about your family. How do you feel about relocating?

I am totally open to relocating, if God leads.

How old were you when you were drawn to Christ and how is your Christian walk these days?

I grew up in a nominal Methodist family and went to church regularly, but don’t recall hearing the Gospel presented until I was a teenager in high school (visiting a friend’s church). God rescued me during my senior year of high school at age 17 and set me on the path of coming to know Him more and more intimately over the years since then. He means more to me right now than ever before, and I feel that I have the clearest understanding of Him currently than I’ve ever had in the past. Much of this has come through being discipled by an older woman steeped in Reformed Theology. She has helped clear up much confusion for me!

How have the Doctrines of Grace changed or affected your life?

The Doctrines of Grace are life-changing! I had never heard of Calvinism, Reformed Theology, or the Doctrines of Grace until about a year ago but God has used them in my life tremendously. Would love to discuss more in depth with anyone I may end up dating.

Do you have a "Quiet Time?" What are you studying?

Yes. Right now I am studying Philippians and 1 John.

Who is your favorite Biblical Character and why?

So hard to pick just one, but Joseph ranks pretty high on my list and for many reasons. As an immature young man he was prideful and even smug toward his brothers. Once he started going through many trials, though (being sold into slavery by his brothers, being falsely accused, being imprisoned, etc) we see him refined by obedience. Ultimately we see him in a position of honor which allows him to provide for and reconcile with his family. He gives all credit to God for how He turned what the brothers meant for evil — and used it for good!

Are you content being single? Why? If not, why?

Yes, and no. Yes — because I believe in God’s perfect sovereignty over all things and trust Him in guiding my life. For as long as He has me single, I will strive to joyfully trust in Him and His promise to withhold no good thing from me. In my heart, I believe that if I don’t have a thing, it’s because for His own reasons, God has not deemed it a “good thing” for me right now. No — because I have always desired to be married and have a family. I deeply desire the friendship, companionship, romance, passion, and commitment that is unique to marriage. I long to be a supportive wife and mother, and haven’t given up hope that God may have that for me someday.

What are four qualities your friends would attribute to you?

Thoughtful, creative, smart, real (authentic)

What are three things you are most thankful for?

1) Salvation

2) Community (friendships, family, mentors)

3) Hymns / worship music / poetry that is Christ-exalting

Describe the character and personality traits you enjoy in another person? What are yours?

What I enjoy in others AND what I strive to be:

– personable

– kind

– thoughtful

– able to go deep but also cut loose and be silly

Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and how?

My mentor. She has taught me so much theology over the past year of being mentored by her, and God has truly transformed my life by it. Also heavily influenced by the writings of A.W. Pink, Charles Spurgeon, John Calvin, R.C. Sproul, and A.W. Tozer.

Favorite lines from movies, poems, songs, hymns or Scripture you would like to tell us about?

“Redeeming love has been my theme, and shall be till I die!”

What type of work do/did you do?

Before going back to school, I was on staff at a non-denominational church in Austin for 11 years where I got to plan some amazing volunteer events like providing hundreds of new backpacks full of school supplies to Austin-area kids in need, providing Thanksgiving meals to hundreds of families in Austin who needed a little help, and organizing volunteers to pack hundreds of thousands (no joke!) of meals for hungry kids overseas. I’m not saying all of that to brag, but to give a little insight into who I am and what I care about.

How long have you been/were you in that line of work? Do/you enjoy it?

Worked on church staff for 11 years. Now in a new career doing cardiac imaging in a hospital. I can do this kind of work from anywhere, so relocating would be relatively easy. Ultimately I would prefer to be a homemaker, housewife, and homeschool mom… but for now as a single woman, working full-time is my reality.

Do you have any life-long goals? What are they?

To glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

Where were you born and where have you traveled?

Born in North Carolina. I have traveled to many places within the US (too many to list) but internationally have been to Australia (vacation), and to Haiti, Dominican Republic, and France (mission trips).
