I have two daughters (23-20) and a son (17). My oldest daughter is currently with me at home. My second daughter will be going back to college this fall 2020. My son will be in 11th grade this fall.

I would be open to the possibility, if that is what the Lord has for me.

How old were you when you were drawn to Christ and how is your Christian walk these days?

I was raised Catholic. When I was 17 years old a friend came to our house to lead a bible study on the book of John. After sometime the Lord showed me my need to repent and believe in the risen Savior.

Since then, the Lord has continued to give me a hunger and a thirst for His word, has helped me grow may faith and my love for Him. He has been and still is my refuge, my confidant, my rock through my most trying times.

Currently, I am going through the book of Acts and Judges.

How have the Doctrines of Grace changed or affected your life?

They have brought me great comfort and peace.  The fact that the Lord is sovereign and that He controls every aspect of my life is a source of security.

Do you have a "Quiet Time?" What are you studying?

Yes, It is essential for every believer to have time alone with the Lord.   Currently, I am reading through the New Testament and plan to start studying the book of Mark in the Fall.

Who is your favorite Biblical Character and why?

Joseph is my favorite  Biblical character because of how he purposed to serve the Lord in the midst of temptation and adversity.  His determination to honor the Lord was a priority even when things were hard.

Are you content being single? Why? If not, why?

The Lord has given me peace and joy in my singleness; however, I would like to marry a godly man if that is His will for me.

What are four qualities your friends would attribute to you?

I asked a friend this question and this is what she said:

-A servant’s heart

– A teachable spirit

– Hard-working

– Lover of her home

What are three things you are most thankful for?

I am most thankful for:

1. The Lord Jesus and His sacrificial love for a sinner like me.

2. My children.

3. His church

Describe the character and personality traits you enjoy in another person? What are yours?

I highly respect someone with the following qualities:

– A person who loves the Lord and is committed to serving Him,

– A person with a teachable spirit.

– Someone who is organized with his finances and in the home.

I consider myself to be industrious, enjoy taking care of my home and showing hospitality. I am a very task-oriented person and I don’t like to procrastinate.

Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and how?

My late husband, he encouraged me by his example, as he lived to serve his family, the church, and others.

What contributed to your previous relationship/marriage ending?

I was married for closed to 18 years until he went to be with the Lord 8 years ago.

How long have you been on your own since and what did you to do get through it?

I have been on my own since June of 2012.  I held on to God’s promises in His word, trusting that His purpose are good for me even when things don’t go the way I would have wanted it.

He has been very gracious and merciful to me and my family, His church has been my family in the midst of suffering.

Favorite lines from movies, poems, songs, hymns or Scripture you would like to tell us about?

“He is the Lord; let Him do what is good in His sight.”  1 Samuel 3:18

While I don’t believe this author is a Christian I found this quote insightful:

“Love is when the other person’s happiness is more important than your own.”  (H. Jackson Brown Jr.)

What type of work do/did you do?

I started working as a teacher assistant in a Christian school until I decided to home school my 17-year-old son to help him better prepare for college.

How long have you been/were you in that line of work? Do/you enjoy it?

I started during the 2018-2019 school year.  It’s been good to see the hand of God blessing this effort in the life of my son, both spiritually and academically. I definitely enjoy it!

Do you have any life-long goals? What are they?

As a Christian woman I would like to continue to grow in my relationship with the Lord, spend more time reading good books, be more useful to minister to women specially among the Hispanic community, use my gifts more in my local church.

I was born in the Dominican Republic.  I came to the US  in 1994 to marry my late husband.  I have traveled to several States and Canada.
