Tell us about your family. How do you feel about relocating?

I am close with my family, but don’t feel the need to live close. Relocating would be an adventure.

How have the Doctrines of Grace changed or affected your life?

I have never known a time I wasn’t drawn to Christ and, thanks be to God, that is still true today.

Do you have a "Quiet Time?" What are you studying?

Without an understanding of the Doctrines of Grace, I would easily be legalistic, rather than grateful for my freedom in Christ.

Who is your favorite Biblical Character and why?

Yes. I am in a Bible Reading Challenge called Same Page Summer reading through the New Testament.

Are you content being single? Why? If not, why?

Paul, because his ministry changed the world.

What are four qualities your friends would attribute to you?

Yes, because I love my life. I don’t regret any of my choices that have lead me here. Hallelujah!

What are three things you are most thankful for?

Truthful, Encouraging, Dependable, Intellectual

Describe the character and personality traits you enjoy in another person? What are yours?

My people.

My parents dedication to raising me in the paideia of the Lord.

My puppy. (Pip is not quite a puppy anymore, but I couldn’t resist the alliteration.)

Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and how?

A quick wit with kind heart. A man of action informed by previous contemplation. Generous with time and money. Loves music, good food, hospitality, and a good book.

Philosophical and practical. Someone with a vision and engaged in bringing it about. Loves music and good food and hospitality. A reader by nature.

What contributed to your previous relationship/marriage ending?

The T’s. I have worked for them and lived with them for years now. I love living life with them and gleaning from their wisdom. They have been married for 33 years and are a beautiful picture of sacrificial love and romance. I want to be like them when I grow up. Also, we have so so much fun!

How long have you been on your own since and what did you to do get through it?

I have nevSee had a serious relationship.

Favorite lines from movies, poems, songs, hymns or Scripture you would like to tell us about?

Poem: Four Quartets, T.S. Eliot: “In the end is the beginning”.

Scripture: “I have set the Lord always before me, because he is at my right hand I will not be shaken” Ps. 16:8

What type of work do/did you do?

I teach history and literature, build culture, and read great books.

How long have you been/were you in that line of work? Do/you enjoy it?

I have just finished my tenth year as a Classical Christian school teacher. I enjoy using my gifts to build the kingdom.

Do you have any life-long goals? What are they?

PhD in History or Art History(preferable in the UK or Ireland.) For fun.

But if not… marrying well and raising a faithful family with a few chickens would be nice.

Where were you born and where have you traveled?

Santa Ana, California to Seattle, Washington to Moscow, Idaho to Pensacola, Florida to San Luis Obispo, California to Washington.

I have been to Europe, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.

How do you enjoy your leisure time? What do you do for recreation?

Is there anything that the questionnaire didn’t cover?

My journey to reformed theology hinged around paedo-communion, so I committed to that practice believing it to be part of the new covenant.

About Me

I have much to be grateful for and I love my life. I am most grateful to be living with the couple that I do. My vision for a home culture and raising children, Lord willing, come largely from living life with them. Our home is cheerful, industrious, and peaceful. We are quick to ask and give forgiveness. I admire their generosity and kindness. We enjoy practicing hospitality and self-sacrifice all to the tune of The Fiddler on the Roof.

When I think about a future home of my own, I wish all of these things would be true. I am just wondering if there is some one for whom I could be a suitable helpmate and blessing. I like to read and learn, but then I want to apply the principles. Given my druthers, I like being at home, but I am open to being pushed out of my comfort zone. My parents made sure I have the spiritual gift of chat and I hope a bit of wit on the side. I love the Truth, and I purposefully surround myself with people who will have the courage to speak truth to me and keep me thinking rightly.

I love children. I love Christ and His Church. I love animals and farmer’s markets. I love Irish music and red wine, occasionally together. Wodehouse makes me laugh. Chaim Potok makes me cry. The Awakening of Miss Prim, is my current favorite book. I love dressing up for the symphony, but keep grubbies on hand to garden. I wish Middle Earth was real and I would go to the moon in a heartbeat.

My Interests

Russian Literature.

Dog Training.

I enjoy a challenging sermon and formal liturgy.

Being an aunt!
