Tell us about your family. How do you feel about relocating?

I was raised in a Christian home with married parents (almost 27 years) and two younger brothers, one of which is attending college. I would LOVE to relocate anywhere on Route 66, especially Oklahoma, where I applied for a job as a mental health worker.

How old were you when you were drawn to Christ and how is your Christian walk these days?

I was five years old when I asked Christ to come into my life. I’ve actually grown more spiritually within the last three years than I have throughout my life. After four years of accepting my being single, I am praising God not only in church, but on my Route 66 adventures as well, learning something new about God and myself everyday.

How have the Doctrines of Grace changed or affected your life?

The doctrines taught me compassion and kindness. I am inspired everyday to treat everyone the way God treats me, even if a person treats me wrongly.

Do you have a "Quiet Time?" What are you studying?

My “Quiet Time” is bedtime. I work, eat, do some schoolwork (studying forensic psychology), and sleep.

Who is your favorite Biblical Character and why?

Esther. She showed courage when her people were in danger and trusted God throughout the whole ordeal. Sarah is another favorite because she had been patient for so long to have a child of her own.

Are you content being single? Why? If not, why?

I’ve struggled after breaking up with my ex-boyfriend after three years of dating, but I’ve finally accepted my being single, and I actually love it! I asked God to be with me on my Route 66 adventures, and everyday, I learn something about myself, even if I already know. I’m not afraid of being alone anymore because God will always be there with me.

What are four qualities your friends would attribute to you?

What are three things you are most thankful for?

Route 66

Describe the character and personality traits you enjoy in another person? What are yours?

I enjoy another person’s sense of humor the most. Kindness is another big trait that I enjoy as well as thoughtfulness.

I love that I am quirky because I think being different is amazing. I also admire that while I may not be physically strong, I am protective of my friends and family. Lastly, I love that I am brave to venture out on Route 66, a road less traveled, to admire the beauty of old buildings and signs and to just dream.

Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and how?

My paternal grandma. She would tell me all of these stories about her childhood that inspire me to create my own stories to tell to my kids someday. She also loves murder mysteries and puzzles like I do. We very much enjoy each other’s community! If a man were to propose to me, I would tell him to ask my grandma instead of my dad for the blessing!

What contributed to your previous relationship/marriage ending?

My ex-boyfriend had moved south after a year of dating, but we decided to try it long-distance. Needless to say, communication lacked and on our last date, I saw him as a stranger.

How long have you been on your own since and what did you to do get through it?

I have now been single for four years, and that is where Route 66 came in. Route 66 is a place where I can have fun my way, learn new things about history, and I praise God for the amazing things he had created for me to enjoy.

Favorite lines from movies, poems, songs, hymns or Scripture you would like to tell us about?

Walt Disney: “Keep moving forward.”

Joshua 1:9

My favorite songs are by Jennifer Knapp: “Into You”, “Trinity”, and “You Answer Me”.

What type of work do/did you do?

I worked at McDonald’s, ending my career there as a swing manager, and currently work at Casey’s as a sandwich maker and a pizza delivery driver. I also volunteer at the Texaco station, serving as the welcome center in my hometown.

How long have you been/were you in that line of work? Do/you enjoy it?

I was at McDonald’s for six years and I was miserable at the end. I enjoy my job at Casey’s. I absolutely love volunteering at the Texaco station, and I plan to do it this summer unless God calls me to serve others in Oklahoma.

Do you have any life-long goals? What are they?

I dream of traveling all 2,000+ miles of Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles in one trip, whether it’s on a honeymoon or on a vacation.  I also hope to prosper in a career as a criminal profiler and raise a family.

Where were you born and where have you traveled?

I was born in Elk Grove Village, IL. I have travelled to 14 states: Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.

How do you enjoy your leisure time? What do you do for recreation?

Not really…
