Tell us about your family. How do you feel about relocating?

I’m from a large family of eight.  My four oldest sisters and one older brother are all married with families of their own, and I currently have 21 nieces and nephews. They are each such a blessing!  I am more than willing to relocate as the Lord leads.

How old were you when you were drawn to Christ and how is your Christian walk these days?

I was seventeen when the Lord saved me by His grace, opening my eyes to see my sinful state and great need of Him. I’m so thankful for the precious Blood of Christ, cleansing me from all my sins! I believe a true Christian is someone who has been brought to a state of true repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ…not just raised in a Christian home, or going to church, etc. There will be a definite change in desire and heart. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

When I get a view of my own sinful heart, it just makes me amazed that the Lord still has mercy for someone like me.

Do you have a "Quiet Time?" What are you studying?

Yes, I believe it’s important to spend daily time in God’s Word. I currently am reading through the four Gospels, and alternately with the Psalms.

Are you content being single? Why? If not, why?

I do very much desire to be married and have my own family someday, in the Lord’s timing, and am just praying for His will to meet the right man who truly loves and fears the Lord.

What are three things you are most thankful for?

The cleansing Blood of Christ, God’s Word, and family.

Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and how?

Most of those who have been influential to me outside of family, are people from the past who have gone to be with the Lord. Among those, are George Mueller, Darlene Deibler Rose (author of Evidence Not Seen), Robert Murray McCheyne, and a few others.  What stands out in each of these people’s lives, is their consistent desire to be faithfully in God’s Word, meditating on it, and applying it to their lives, by God’s grace. Instead of lifting up and glorifying themselves, they lifted up the Lord Jesus Christ, and encourage me to study God’s Word more on my own.

What contributed to your previous relationship/marriage ending?

I haven’t been in what I consider to be an “official” relationship and have never been married. I have gotten to know several young men over the past several years with that consideration, but things have eventually not worked out for various reasons.

Favorite lines from movies, poems, songs, hymns or Scripture you would like to tell us about?

This verse is one of several favorites: “For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.”  -Psalm 103:11. The entire chapter of Psalm 103 is one that has become special to me over the years. “The Lord is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him.” Lamentations 3:25

Do you have any life-long goals? What are they?

My desire is to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord, and in accordance to His Word…to be growing in grace and in the knowledge of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. I need His grace, mercy, and forgiveness day by day.  I also greatly desire to have my own home and family someday, and pray for the Lord’s direction and provision in this as well. I’ve always wanted to be a stay-at-home mother someday, Lord willing.

Where were you born and where have you traveled?

I’ve traveled to around 23 states (mostly on the eastern side of the U.S), and to Canada quite a few times (I have a sister and her family who lives in Canada, so it’s a good excuse to be able to travel there often!).

How do you enjoy your leisure time? What do you do for recreation?

Gardening, sewing, crocheting, hiking, babysitting….

About Me

I live at home with my family (the five oldest are all married), and enjoy spending time with my many nieces and nephews whenever I get the opportunity…most of them live far away, so that’s not very often, but it’s always a blessing to me when I can. I really love children, they always brighten my day!

I would love to homeschool my own family someday, and it is important to me to only use the King James Version of the Bible. If you’re interested at all why that’s a conviction for me, I’m glad to share my reasons.  🙂

It’s my desire to keep my interests and time occupied with things around the home, as God’s Word teaches that women are to be ”keepers at home” (Titus 2:5), and the man is to be the provider for his family.

It’s also my conviction to wear dresses/skirts, as I believe men and women’s attire is to be distinctly different from each other, and modest dressing is important–Deuteronomy 22:5, and 1 Timothy 2:9. I only listen to conservative music such as hymns/old fashioned Gospel.

My Interests

I love spending time outdoors gardening when I have the time. I also enjoy sewing, crocheting, hiking, piano, boating, and babysitting my nieces and nephews whenever I can.  I’ve always been the type to enjoy things around the home more than traveling a whole lot, but I’ve gradually come to enjoy traveling more as it became something I had to do in order to visit family. Sometimes it’s good to be pushed to do things you wouldn’t otherwise try.:) I prefer quiet activities away from crowds in general, though, such as family and/or friend outings at the park, etc.
