Tell us about your family. How do you feel about relocating? | My step father married my mom 42 years ago in Tennessee where I grew up. He was a research chemist at Eastman, Renaissance man, musician, and traveler. So for the many last years we step kids headed home to share holidays with them. My mom died of Alzheimers in 1990. Bob was surprised the glue stuck…but we adored his company. He promised to go for 102…but he surprised us and died two days after finally moving to assisted living after his 101st birthday. Has left a huge hole in my heart to have him gone. One sister is married in St. Louis. One sister is recently widowed in Tennessee. My brother and his wife are also in Tennessee.. My strong spiritual family is here, but I would consider relocating. |
How old were you when you were drawn to Christ and how is your Christian walk these days? | My walk with the Lord began early at a small Presbyterian Church. My mom’s best friend was the Sunday School teacher who shared about Jesus’s great love…I responded immediately. After college and a year working with missionaries in South Korea, I went to a small Bible school for two years. Prayer groups and Bible studies have been a vital part of my life as well as attending church and serving in various ways. Over Covid, we have had a group of us gathering and singing with old hymnbooks outside in lawn chairs . |

About Me | I’m tall and a bit reserved. In the personality types I’m mostly a beaver golden retriever, though you might see a bit of otter on occasion. Small groups of good conversation and deep thinking are more satisfying than a big group dynamic. My desire is to be used of the Lord and still on His path when He calls me. Am still trying to figure out what retirement looks like. Have always hoped for someone to share this time with serving and traveling. |
My Interests | Kingdom work Travel Art museums local and international Music Staying fit |
