Tell us about your family. How do you feel about relocating? | It would be difficult to relocate far but I would consider it, especially if I really loved a man, and especially if it was for the sake of God’s kingdom like missionary work or something. |
How old were you when you were drawn to Christ and how is your Christian walk these days? | Since I was little I felt a need to live as a Christian, and I made a heartfelt profession of faith at 12, but I was living in much darkness as basically an Arminian, thinking it all depended ultimately on my own will whether I would make it. About 3-4 years ago, God began to stir in my heart in a deeper way and I struggled through what the gospel really is, and that’s how I came also to embrace the doctrines of grace. The clear gospel made a huge difference in my faith and walk with God, and since then I have joined a good church and I keep growing and learning to depend more and more on God. |
How have the Doctrines of Grace changed or affected your life? | I can finally trust and rest entirely in Christ, knowing that my relationship with God is through Him and His righteousness alone, and that He will finish the work He began, and that no circumstance in life is out of His control. |
Do you have a "Quiet Time?" What are you studying? | Yes, recently I was studying in Romans |
Are you content being single? Why? If not, why? | Somewhat, I’m certainly more content that I used to be. But I live in a rather lonely situation and sometimes I long for someone to talk with every day. And I dream of having a husband and our own home where we can invite various people over and be hospitable and talk with them about Christ and encourage or disciple them. |
What are four qualities your friends would attribute to you? | somewhat quiet, sincere, kind, passionate |
What are three things you are most thankful for? | God Himself, salvation in Christ, my church |
Describe the character and personality traits you enjoy in another person? What are yours? | I appreciate genuineness, deep thinking, gentleness, courage, wisdom, and especially love for God and others. |
Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and how? | People at my church who give me wise counsel |
Favorite lines from movies, poems, songs, hymns or Scripture you would like to tell us about? | “We shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is”. That’s very hope-giving and motivating. |
What type of work do/did you do? | Helping out an older lady, teaching piano, babysitting, and managing beehives |
Do you have any life-long goals? What are they? | I often feel stirred up within when I hear about God’s kingdom advancing in people’s lives nearby or around the world, and I have a deep desire to be involved in missions or ministry in some way, but I’m not sure how. God has been impressing on me lately the importance of prayer for His kingdom to come. That’s one way I can be involved right now. Christ is worthy of our whole lives since He redeemed us to God by His blood. |
About Me | I’m at a place in life where I’m trying to be faithful where I’m at but also praying about what God would have for me in the future. I desire to live for God because Christ is worthy and I don’t want to waste my life. It’s quite a difficult journey, though, learning to walk in faith and light, and to run back to Christ and believe the gospel and God’s love when I find myself slipping into fear, despair, dissatisfaction, etc. It’s a great comfort to me that God will never forsake me but that He has predestined me to be someday totally conformed to the image of His Son, and by this hope I will continue to be transformed here on earth. |
