Tell us about your family. How do you feel about relocating?

I am a mom of five kids, three girls and two boys, ranging from 9-19 years.  I homeschooled my kids for ten years, but they now attend a Classical Christian School and college.

I would consider and pray about relocating, if I believe its God’s will, after my eleventh grader graduates from high school.

How old were you when you were drawn to Christ and how is your Christian walk these days?

I was fifteen when Christ really drew me to him. I am probably as in love with Christ as ever, but with a lot more knowledge of Him, His word, and His faithfulness. God has proven faithful!!!

How have the Doctrines of Grace changed or affected your life?

The Doctrines of Grace are humbling and give all glory to the Godhead, who deserve all glory! It is so relieving to know that we can’t do anything to earn or save ourselves!

Do you have a "Quiet Time?" What are you studying?

I do have a quiet time. I stay in the Psalms, read a chapter of Proverbs a few or more times a week, read the NT, and am currently reading some Christian parenting books, the Westminster Confession, and a book on prayer. I also love to spend time with God in prayer and meditate on His character and goodness.

Who is your favorite Biblical Character and why?

Well… besides Jesus, David. I love his songs, his honesty to God, his true worship, and how he knows God’s character!

Are you content being single? Why? If not, why?

I might be content being single, even after my kids are all teens or graduated,  if I am very involved in ministry, my grandkids lives, &/or a fulfilling part time career. I honestly think I will be lonely, as I love people, but good community and a tight relationship with God are very satisfying!

What are four qualities your friends would attribute to you?

Steadfast, loving, gracious, fun, and honest

What are three things you are most thankful for?

1. God’s mercy, kindness, faithfulness, discipline, and provision

2. My kids

3. My community

Describe the character and personality traits you enjoy in another person? What are yours?

Personality and character traits I enjoy are:

-gentleness, patient, able to teach, having self-control (but not controlling)

-servant leader, steady, kind, godly

-humorous, honest, discerning fun

Personality and character traits I have are:

-empathetic, honest, forgiving, godly

-fun, loyal, understanding, loving, compassionate

Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and how?

There are multiple people, not just one.
My uncle, a pastor who started multiple churches, youth leaders when I was a teen, some old friends, and the current elders of my church and one past one, have been the most influential on my life.

My uncle and youth leaders really connected with me and showed me love, in an accepting and tangible way, being an example of people with a real relationship with God. I saw that Christians could be fun, too!

One old friend opened my eyes to areas of health I was blind to before, very much helping change the direction of our families health, or at least my health, for life.

Another old friend really walked with me through motherhood in the ditches (many young kids), was a true friend, and kept pointing me to God’s word, to look to Him for the strength, or dependence for continued obedience.

My current elders and a past one walked with me through the end of my marriage and a long and rough divorce, giving me hours of their time listening and giving counsel, accepting me and all my faults, and helping me see God’s character more and understand the scripture more clearly. I had someone from church with me at every court date and there were many! They read through my legal papers, helping me with those, too!

All these people prayed either with or for me, encouraging me in the faith!

How long have you been on your own since and what did you to do get through it?

I have been on my own since April 2019. An older lady, friends, my elders, and pastor, helped me through the long process with many court dates. I have worked from part time to full time, having full custody of my kids, but made it through it all! I honestly depended on the Lord, His word, and the prayers of the saints, a LOT. Christ carried me through the deep, rough waters!

Favorite lines from movies, poems, songs, hymns or Scripture you would like to tell us about?

“I sought the LORD, and he answered me
and delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to him are radiant,
and their faces shall never be ashamed.
This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him
and save him out of all his troubles.
The angel of the LORD encamps
around those who fear him, and delivers them.”

And the beginning and rest of Psalm 34

lyrics to many indelible grace songs

Lyrics to Farther Along by Josh Lyrics
Farther along we’ll know all about it
Farther along we’ll understand why
So cheer up my brothers, live in the sunshine
We’ll understand this, all by and by
Tempted and tried, I wondered why
The good man dies, the bad man thrives
And Jesus cries because he loves em’ both
We’re all cast-aways in need of ropes
Hangin’ on by the last threads of our hope
In a house of mirrors full of smoke
Confusing illusions I’ve seen
Where did I go wrong, I sang along
To every chorus of the song
That the devil wrote like a piper at the gates
Leading mice and men down to their fates
Some will courageously escape
The seductive voice with a heart of faith
While walkin’ that line back home
There’s so much more to life than we’ve been told
It’s full of beauty that will unfold
And shine like you struck gold my wayward son
That deadweight burden weighs a ton
I go down to the river and let it run
Wash away all the things you’ve done
Forgiveness alright

But still I get hard pressed on every side
Between the rock and a compromise
Like truth and pack of lies fightin’ for my soul
I’ve got no place left go
‘Cause I got changed by what I’ve been shown
It’s more glory than the world has known
Keeps me ramblin’ on
Skipping like a calf loosed from its stall
I’m free to love once and for all
And even when I fall I’ll get back up
For the joy that overflows my cup
Heaven filled me with more than enough
Broke down my levees and my bluff
Let the flood wash me
And one day when the sky rolls back on us
Some rejoice and the others fuss
‘Cause every knee must bow and tongue confess
The son of God is forever blessed
This is the kingdom and we’re the guests
So put your voice up to the test
Sing Lord, come soon
Farther along we’ll know all about it
Farther along we’ll understand why
So cheer up my brothers, live in the sunshine
We’ll understand this, all by and by

What type of work do/did you do?

I work for my church, am self employed doing other work, and substitute teach at my kids’ school some. I work part time, but spend as much of my time as possible, as a homemaker, running my house, and trying to raise my kids in the fear and admonition of the Lord.

How long have you been/were you in that line of work? Do/you enjoy it?

I have been a homemaker since late summer 2002. I LOVE it! I also love to be around people, so working out of the home part-time, is a good fit, since my kids go to private school and are no longer here during the day.

Do you have any life-long goals? What are they?

The only life long goal I know is God’s will and plan to forever keep, is to walk with God, seeking to know Him and love Him more, which, of course, means to obey Him more, as He enables me to.

I do have other goals, but they change as I seek God’s face.

I would like to get remarried and for God to provide a healthier, godly marriage model, for my kids to see, which of course, won’t be perfect.

I would like to be an involved grandparent one day.

I will keep seeking the Lord as to how He would like to use me to bless and serve others, whether through ministry or some health avenue.

I think I would like to have AirBNBs one day.

Where were you born and where have you traveled?

I was born in Lexington, Nebraska. I have traveled to around 23 states and Nicaraugua. I would love to travel more!

How do you enjoy your leisure time? What do you do for recreation?

In my leisure time, I like to be outside in nature, explore new areas in the city or country, spend time with my kids, whether exercising, playing board, or card games. I like to cook healthy food, play competitive sports and just do things with people. I love to learn new things, and let God fascinate me!

Is there anything that the questionnaire didn’t cover?

Of course, but that’s what messaging is for, right : )?

About Me

I am looking into a move locally in the near future, so sadly may not upgrade from the free membership until my time gets a bit more freed up.  Here is some info about me anyway, in case  ; ):

I LOVE life!  The more I know and walk with God, the more I understand Him, I process life with more clarity, and make better choices!  He is so good, right!?! His valleys and discipline are for our good, too!

I like to cook, am really into health (not mainstream conventional, though), enjoy music, and being around people.

I want someone to do life with! Someone that will edify me and help me be more like God. I want someone to have fun with, who will be a kind, but not controlling leader,  that will invest time and work to be a godly father to my two youngest children, maybe three, and a friend to the older two. I would pray about and consider having another child, if God has someone for me, who hasn’t been married before.  I want to bless my future husband with my strengths, weaknesses, and learn to be a helpmeet to him, specifically.

My Interests

My interests include most of Life, God , wisdom, understanding, holistic health, people, understanding people, poetry, decor, science, and…most other things : )
