Hi everyone! Iām Rachel, a new member here. I just wanted to say hi! š Ice Breaker question: What is one hobby you always wished that you did but never got around to it? Mine is playing the banjo or mandolin.

Hello! š Ooh, those are good ones! Are they still a hobby you’d like to pick up, or ones you used to want to learn?
Oh man… I don’t know if there’s a particular hobby I’ve always wanted to get into, but I have had a recent rise of “ooh I wanna try that someday” hobbies? xD I’d love to try making jewelry. And videos of wax seals are just magical and I want to do those too.
This year, though, I want to make it a goal to dabble in a variety of hobbies, so I hope to get to at least one of those!

I would still love to but Iām usually so busy I barely have time for the hobbies I already do šš¬ I have been tempted to buy a wax seal set too haha!
-
That’s fair. xD What are other hobbies you enjoy? š
I honestly have no idea what I’d use the wax seal set for, practical-wise, but it just looks cool. xD

There’s been a few hobbies that I’ve wanted to pursue, but either a lack of time or lack of funds has prevented me from doing them.
Dance classes: I’ve tried out a dance program for adults, and I loved their ballet class. But because I can’t wear a mask, especially not while being active, that’s definitely not an option right now
Singing: I loved singing in choir and would love to develop my voice more.
Archery: it might be a helpful skill to have, and plus it ties in with the following hobby.
LARPing: the main thing keeping me from doing this is money (it’s a very expensive hobby!) and not having anyone to do it with

Even though you may not be able to pursue dancing and singing classes now, I bet there are archery classes that are happening now! All of those sounds fun!

The LARPing group I follow I think taught themselves archery using Youtube. The problem for me is spending the money on the equipment and then finding the time to use it. This school year has devoured most of my spare time.
I think my parents’ reservation about LARPing is spending a lot of money for an event once a year and camping in a location with a bunch of people of unknown character, which is one of my concerns. So the reservation has kept me from pursuing it in earnest.
