Love will find a way. Being close to family is important.
  • How old were you when you were drawn to Christ and how is your Christian walk these days?:
I committed my life to Christ and was baptized when I was 12 years old. I was DOA for years, then began to crawl. Been walking for a few years, started to run, then stumbled. Crawled , then got back up. Now I am starting to run again; progressive sanctification is a pain, but I count it all joy. :-).
  • How have the Doctrines of Grace changed or affected your life?:
The message communicated to me that his love was intentional, and specifically directed to me because he knew me before I was born. It gave clarity and ensured the question of my salvation, that the gospel was not left generalized, but specific to those who are called by the Holy Spirit.
  • Do you have a "Quiet Time?" What are you studying?:
I enjoy reading and memorizing the Psalms and Proverbs. I recently bought a book from American Vision, entitled, "The Early Church and The End of the World". My background is that I was raised in dispensationalistic churches without knowing what that was. It is a long story, but I am thankful that the Holy Spirit has guided me out of it. So, I am eager to dig into this book about what views the early church fathers had on this topic of The End Times. Btw, I am an optimistic amillennialist aka post-mill.
  • Who is your favorite Biblical Character and why?:
I have always related to David even though I am the oldest in my family. David was a warrior whose heart was after God's own heart. All my brothers including my sister have that fighting spirit to stand in the face of opposition. The faith to overcome the challenges.
  • Are you content being single? Why? If not, why?:
It took a while to find contentment again. I am a firm believer that contentment and joy comes by setting and accomplishing goals. Christ has taught me to not bury my God given talent. I am to go and make it increase. In spite of set back, to make progress. Have enough faith in God empowering me to make something happen. I take joy in the struggles when things are not happening. But I am happy when things are happening. Either way, I am content in the journey of this life that God has given me.

  • Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and how?:
There are many people that have influenced my life. Some are still alive. Some have passed away. Some were only in passing. But My youngest brother, Ryan. He's 10 years younger, but Iron sharpens iron. We think alike but from different perspectives. He has a law. background. But we both love the field of business. But we both think and read broadly. We recommend books to each other that we not likely have read if it wasn't recommended. I would not be a coffee snob today and would not have read Van Til’s Apologetics.
  • What contributed to your previous relationship/marriage ending?:
We were married for 14 years. We were unequally yoked even though we were both "Christian". Entrepreneurship and small business is in my family's DNA. We have our successes and failures. As long as you're successful people generally think you're normal and like being your friend. But when things get rough, you quickly find out who your true friends are. She abandon the marriage during the 2008 Financial Crisis. We could have made it. My family and our true friends pleaded with her to hang in their. She filed for divorce in March 2009.
  • How long have you been on your own since and what did you to do get through it?:
It's been over 10 years since she left. Though I walk through the valley of shadows of death, their was much evil, but somehow God saved me from myself; taught me more about myself during those dark days. It shook me in ways I never thought I could be shaken. During my life time, I've experienced a couple bad beating by thugs, but this almost destroyed me. I know that if God's Holy Spirit was not speaking to me, I would not be alive to write this. When we give our heart to someone, we are committing our lives to that individual. For the right women, I be glad to lay it down again.
  • Favorite lines from movies, poems, songs, hymns or Scripture you would like to tell us about?:
You are in Christ and share in the promise made to Abraham (Gal 3:26-29). “You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light” (1 Pet. 2:9).
