  • Tell us about your family. How do you feel about relocating?:
I live with my parents currently and 30 minutes way from my sisters and brother in law. We are an extremely close knit Christian family. We are very involved in one another’s lives so, i would expect my significant other to want to participate in that. I would rather not relocate out of the state but, i would relocate for love (must be a marriage proposal in the very near future).
  • How old were you when you were drawn to Christ and how is your Christian walk these days?:
I was raised in the church but was a nominal Christian until 7ish years ago (i was 24). I work daily at spending time with the Lord to know Him better. My walk with the Lord isn’t perfect, thank goodness Christ’s gift of grace covers all, but i strive with my whole being to obey and honor the Lord. It is my deepest desire to love God with all my heart, soul, strength, and mind. I would describe my walk as growing in maturity day by day from infant milk as Paul puts it to baby food.
  • How have the Doctrines of Grace changed or affected your life?:
Growing up in a nondenominational and Arminian church, the doctrines of Grace wasn’t preached on and i had no understanding of it. When i became a Christian at 24, i had lots of questions. The Arminian ideas of theology didn’t make sense to me, especially the idea that you could loose your salvation! I could go on and on about the difference having the correct theology makes in one’s life! For now, i am going to focus on the doctrine of perseverance of the saints. I always struggled with trusting God because i questioned how a God who is supposedly so good could take your salvation away from you. It just didn’t make sense. I felt unsafe and insecure in my faith and that in any wrong move, God would swoop in and revoke my salvation. When i first studied the doctrine of perseverance of the saints, i started sobbing. It all clicked. My viewpoint of God was diminishing my viewpoint of Christ, salvation, and Christianity as a whole. I finally started understanding how God’s Grace through Christ covers all of the believer’s sin and therefore binding and sealing their salvation through the Holy Spirit. I started seeing that God wasn’t some police cop “following” me around to take stock of my sinful behavior but that instead, He was a loving God desiring a deep and meaningful relationship with me. This doctrine specifically has given me the greatest amount of peace, that i can rest in the Victorious work of Jesus Christ.
  • Do you have a "Quiet Time?" What are you studying?:
Of course. I spend every day praying and reading the Bible (and sometimes other books or devotionals). Currently i am reading: the Bible (psalms), New morning mercies, the bruised reed, and who told you that you were naked?.
  • Who is your favorite Biblical Character and why?:
Hmmm that is such a difficult question. I would have to say that Ruth is my favorite character. First off, i am named after her (plus it’s a family name). Secondly, i just love the story of Ruth and Boaz, as her kinsmen redeemer. Ruth’s faith and desire to become like her mother in law-Naomi and practice the Jewish ways always has astounded me. She was loyal to Naomi. She also trusted in the God of Naomi to provide for her needs and was faithful to her. I have always desired to have a great faith like Ruth’s.
  • Are you content being single? Why? If not, why?:
I am and i am not. I am content and satisfied by my relationship with the Lord. I also am lonely and would love to have a husband one day (will settle for a serious boyfriend right now. Lol). I really desire to have a partner and teammate with whom i can share my life.
  • What are four qualities your friends would attribute to you?:
    Persistent/determined, loving, creative, loyal
  • What are three things you are most thankful for?:
My salvation My family The fact that i don’t have to fix everything or do it all by myself; i can have peace in the Lord
  • Describe the character and personality traits you enjoy in another person? What are yours?:
I love when someone is a good listener and loves to talk. Literally my love language is spending time talking with one another. I would like someone who is obviously a reformed Christian. Also someone who (in no specific order) is a good communicator, has the fruits of the spirit, has a servants heart and is selfless/humble, is loving/kind/nurturing, someone who makes me feel safe and secure, is ambitious and hard working, puts their all into the things they care about, is obedient to God, has daily quiet time, loves praying and wants to do that together, loves his family and friends, and loves to have fun by doing new activities together. I’m sure there’s more things i would like but this is what i have for now.
  • Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and how?:
Wow asking the hard questions. Huh? I would say my grandma Bruder. She was extremely supportive during a very difficult time in my life. Ask me how and i will explain more. It’s a very long story.
  • What contributed to your previous relationship/marriage ending?:
My most previous relationship: my ex did because he dumped me and cheated on me after four years but, i also recognize that “it takes two to tango” and that i am not faultless.
  • How long have you been on your own since and what did you to do get through it?:
4ish years. I joined a new church and made some amazing Christian friends. Together we take on life with each other. We all do discipleship together, spend time discussing life issues, hold each other accountable, and point each other to the Lord. These ladies have been extremely supportive and loving friends. They have helped me grow immensely in my relationship with God.
  • Favorite lines from movies, poems, songs, hymns or Scripture you would like to tell us about?:
I’ll have to come back to this.
  • What type of work do/did you do?:
I am a student currently but do medical research for a lab at my university.
  • How long have you been/were you in that line of work? Do/you enjoy it?:
I really enjoy it and can’t wait to graduate in July. I am hoping to be able to take the GRE soon (depends on covid19) and apply for graduate school. I would like to continue my dream of doing medical research.
  • Do you have any life-long goals? What are they?:
To grow in my relationship with Christ, start my career in microbiology, get married, and have a family.
  • Where were you born and where have you traveled?:
I was born in Ohio. I have traveled to most states in the US. I also have been to Italy and Spain.
  • How do you enjoy your leisure time? What do you do for recreation?:
I ABSOLUTELY love to craft and create art. I had my own Etsy store and sold some of my art in a boutique. I took a break from it but, i am currently restocking to reopen. I also love to spend time outside and to be on the water or near the ocean. I like to swim and do water sports. I read a large amount of books. I also enjoy basic things like hanging out with friends, watching tv, and so on.
