Tell us about your family. How do you feel about relocating?

My parents were missionaries until I turned 18. We moved around Colombia and the Dominican Republic. I lived in Israel for 9 years were I studied a double major and a masters. I am open to relocating.

How old were you when you were drawn to Christ and how is your Christian walk these days?

I was very young, but I cannot point at an specific date. I knew I was a sinner while growing up and got baptized when I was 12 years old. However, once I was older after my 20’s I was convinced that I hadn’t really understood what baptism meant and felt that I needed to be baptized very strongly. So I was when I was 28. Jesus is my life. I am so blessed to be serving in a Christian school and also in the music ministry at my church. I want and desire to love Him more and abide in Him and in His Word.

How have the Doctrines of Grace changed or affected your life?

The church where I grew up was more based in emotional/spiritual experiences, and even though the Word was preached, it wasn’t as strong as your own experience with God. Thankfully, me and my parents found a church where the Word is faithfully preached and we learned to rely on it and not on our own experiences. It’s been a beautiful walk of being humbled and convicted by the truth in His Word, assured that He paid it all and that what I can do now is respond to that love and grace with the help and power of the Holy Spirit.

Do you have a "Quiet Time?" What are you studying?

I do have a quiet time. Right now I am following a Bible reading plan in a year, and reading the books of Jeremiah and Isaiah.

Who is your favorite Biblical Character and why?

I’ve always loved Joseph. His story is related so vividly and with deep emotion. He resembles Jesus in so many ways. like being the channel God used to save His people (and other nations) from famine and death.
I like Ruth too, and her story is always so reassuring, that while we may be about our business, He is working and writing our story.

Are you content being single? Why? If not, why?

I am, I have an amazing community at Church and a close group of friends, I love serving at church and being a teacher. I am also a happy aunt, even tough my nieces and nephews live far away. I have always longed for a family, but I am truly content with where I am right now.

What are four qualities your friends would attribute to you?

I am a good listener, or so they say. I am thoughtful, I love finding ways to show my love and attention to those around me. I love to cook for people, not so much for myself though 😛
I am transparent, not good at pretending, unless it’s a play and I’m acting xD But if you know me, you’ll easily know how I really feel about something.

What are three things you are most thankful for?

I am thankful for salvation! I try to remind myself of God’s wonderful mercy in my life every day.
I am thankful for my parents, I live with them right now, and I am very thankful I get to serve them and be with them in this time.
I am thankful for my brother and sister, my brother-in-law and my nieces and nephew. They are a huge blessing in my life.

Describe the character and personality traits you enjoy in another person? What are yours?

I honestly get along with many personality types, but I guess that the ones I enjoy best are people who are thoughtful, insightful, know how to communicate well, invest in others, are sensitive to people’s feelings and know how to carry a conversation and listen to the other’s point of view with patience even when it drastically differs from their own.
I love words, and by that I mean that I love to read and I try to do so (I don’t do it as much as I would want) but I am really drawn to people who have similar inclinations (don’t we all). Though I have to say that I also love to learn, so I like learning about all kinds of things. About me, well, I think it’s more fun to discover that, right?

Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and how?

Other than my parents, just God. I have lived alone for many years and God always provided someone or a community to take care of me, but He’s always been the star. Or the Sun?

What contributed to your previous relationship/marriage ending?

I haven’t had any romantic relationship yet.

Favorite lines from movies, poems, songs, hymns or Scripture you would like to tell us about?

“Tune my heart to sing your grace.”
“Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love
Here’s my heart, oh, take and seal it
Seal it for Thy courts above”

“Steady my simple footsteps.”

What type of work do/did you do?

I am an English teacher for ESL students, Elementary and Kindergarten.

How long have you been/were you in that line of work? Do/you enjoy it?

I have been doing this for the past 4 years. I love it!

Do you have any life-long goals? What are they?

I prefer to discuss those in conversation.

Where were you born and where have you traveled?

I was born in Colombia, I have been to some places, but would love to tell you if you ask!

How do you enjoy your leisure time? What do you do for recreation?

Maybe we can talk about that?

About Me

I have a lot to say here, but I think it’s better if you ask questions 🙂
