Tell us about your family. How do you feel about relocating?

My family life consists of a divorced mother and father, and a younger brother. We have all served in the U.S. armed forces, and I was raised Catholic. My family practiced Catholicism nominally, and we have been in the States since 2000 after leaving Puerto Rico.

The idea of relocating would be a non issue for me if certain responsibilities I am currently pursuing did not follow through. If not for that I would not be as grounded and would have more freedom to potentially leave.

How old were you when you were drawn to Christ and how is your Christian walk these days?

I was drawn to Christ due to the overwhelming mercy and grace that was revealed to me, when I thought I was better than others morally at about 15 years of age. These days my Christian walk is going at a very steady pace and I consistently spend time in God’s Word, prayer, and fellowship with my local church.

How have the Doctrines of Grace changed or affected your life?

Once I understood at a much better level the Total Depravity of man it dramatically shifted the way I viewed election and the nature of the wrath of God toward man. It’s amazing to me that God would send his Son to save anyone, especially considering that nothing “good” that we do can be done apart from Him. So it helps me view humanity having a severe need to the problem of sin, and encourages me to speak to others about the Gospel of Jesus Christ,

Do you have a "Quiet Time?" What are you studying?

I have a “Quiet Time” with the Lord generally in the evening. I am currently studying through the book of Acts. Its amazing to see the way God used the apostles throughout everywhere they were sent to both Jew and Gentile!

Who is your favorite Biblical Character and why?

My favorite Biblical character(other then Jesus of course) is Jonah. This is due tot he fact that I can very well identify with the hatred that he had toward the Ninevites, with the way I viewed “immoral” people in my youth. I’m especially glad that God shifted my heart from that to have a much more compassionate and merciful heart toward those who truly don’t know any better.

Are you content being single? Why? If not, why?

I am definitely content with being single. (As much as I don’t want that to be the case) Marriage is not the end all be all for man, but it is something that I genuinely desire. As Paul states in 1 Cor 7:7 to each has been given a “gift” and singleness definitely frees an individual to have more opportunities to serve due to not having God honoring responsibilities to take care off.   So I’m content because the Word says I should be. 1 Timothy 6:6-8

What are four qualities your friends would attribute to you?

What are three things you are most thankful for?

My brother knowing the Lord!

Having a job that I really enjoy!

Describe the character and personality traits you enjoy in another person? What are yours?

I like people who are honest, and are not afraid of showing who they are. I think someone who takes the Word of God seriously is super cool, and it makes me want to dive into the Word even more. A person who is willing to try things out of the norm is awesome! Most of all though I genuinely enjoy people who are caring, and want to encourage. As I think of those in my life who display care, it genuinely warms my heart! Hopefully whoever I find displays that! >.<

Hmmmm… As for myself, I guess the passion I can bring to things I find interesting. Some would describe me as “helpful” but I don’t really think I am. I’m pretty good at listening, and I do my best not to make things about myself, which make writing this kinda weird.

Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and how?

The most influential person in my life has got to be undoubtedly my pastor! I’ve known him since I was a freshman in high school (he was my Math teacher), and the things which he has taught me not just in the Word but in life are things I will forever have with me.

What contributed to your previous relationship/marriage ending?

I think a major part of my last relationship ending in 2015, was that we were not called to the same church home. Also my lack of maturity then in regards to how I dealt with situations. I’ve definitely grown immensely and that experience has definitely impacted me for the better, although when I recall how it all ended I do wish it would have ended differently. Feel free to ask more on this!

How long have you been on your own since and what did you to do get through it?

Since 2015. What I did to get through was truly start taking ownership of my life and started investing my time in the things of the Lord.

Favorite lines from movies, poems, songs, hymns or Scripture you would like to tell us about?

Bible verses that inspire me are

James 4:17 “So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.” Ive been attempting to apply this in my life and it has definitely been a struggle, but it raises the stakes on how we should love and serve God and others.

1 Tim 4:8 “for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.”

One truth prevails! – Detective Conan

What type of work do/did you do?

I’m a teacher for 7th graders. I teach Bible, Pre-Algebra, and Life Science

How long have you been/were you in that line of work? Do/you enjoy it?

I’ve worked as a teacher for about 3 years and I do enjoy the opportunities I have in teaching young people!

Do you have any life-long goals? What are they?

To live a life to where my Lord will say “Well done good and faithful servant.”

To be happily married with whoever the Lord has in store, all the days of our life.

To raise awesome kids for the glory of the Lord.

Where were you born and where have you traveled?

I was born in Puerto Rico. I have not really traveled anywhere outside of the U.S.

How do you enjoy your leisure time? What do you do for recreation?

That really depends! I find myself rotating a lot of interests so I will list some. Feel free to ask about them!
