How old were you when you were drawn to Christ and how is your Christian walk these days?

I was 16 when I was saved by Christ. Through reading the Word, I was brought to a realization of who God is and who He is as my God. After walking solidly with the Lord for a while, I backslid into old patterns of sin. God has been gracious to me though, and made me to see my sin and my savior. These days, God has rekindled my passion for His Word.

How have the Doctrines of Grace changed or affected your life?

Initially, I accepted the doctrines of grace without hesitation. However, those doctrines are much more difficult to believe in everyday life. It is a conscious effort to see my sinful self the way God does and to believe he has graciously offered salvation through Christ. Personally, I see the doctrines of grace as a way to state that the  sin in us won’t have anything to do with God and that God won’t have anything to do with the sin in us.

Do you have a "Quiet Time?" What are you studying?

My “quiet time” consists of reading Scripture, singing Psalms, and praying. This time is primarily used to exercise and practice my communion and fellowship with the Triune God.

Currently, I am reading through Scripture from beginning to end, focusing particularly on the attributes of God.

Who is your favorite Biblical Character and why?

My favorite character is David, though not because he was a king. When I read about David, I see a man who consistently obeyed God and repented when he didn’t. He loved the law of God and couldn’t stop praising God. It’s not so much that I want to be like David, even though that is true. But I aspire to see God the way David does, specifically in the Psalms.

Are you content being single? Why? If not, why?

I hope God will create in me a heart that would be content with him in any situation. Personally, I pray that I would find a wife and have a family one day so that I may be prepared to be a husband and father. Those are things I desire.

What are three things you are most thankful for?

My God

My family

Men who have left behind there work so that I, and others, may grow in more knowledge of God.

Describe the character and personality traits you enjoy in another person? What are yours?

Honesty about oneself and how they feel about others, as well as willingness to move forward and grow in relationship with God and others are qualities that I enjoy in another person. When people behave that way, most relationships will work and be fruitful.

Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and how?

I will return to fill out the rest!

About Me
