Tell us about your family. How do you feel about relocating?

Neutral

How old were you when you were drawn to Christ and how is your Christian walk these days?

I was given a rough hand when I was young. We didn’t go to church or read the Bible, but I knew God was in my life. He revealed the beauty of the scriptures to me through the church and then gave me a thirst for His word.

How have the Doctrines of Grace changed or affected your life?

They have given me peace not only in my security in Christ, but have also calmed the storms of my heart when dealing with others. “Showing the love of Christ that was first shown to me” has been a pivotal thought

Do you have a "Quiet Time?" What are you studying?

Quiet is my default, though I wonder how Biblical “Quiet Time” is. Obviously it’s important to read and reflect on the word, but mandatory quiet times seem to be an over emphasis brought about by individualistic, and even Buddhist ideas. I also think there is an obvious bias for the introvert here. What about our extroverted friends that like to read and process communally?

Right now I’m going through the book of Job. It’s humbling to see how he continually gives the right answer, and how jarring that answer is.

Who is your favorite Biblical Character and why?

As cliche as it sounds, Jesus. I remember from the scraps of scripture I heard when I was younger, that he always polarized me. His actions, His parables, His rebukes. They stick in the mind, especially under the understanding of types and shadows from the Old Testament.

Are you content being single? Why? If not, why?

When I was young I held relationships as an idol, and propped girls up on an unfair pedestal. It was a hard lesson to learn but God taught me to be patient and to be content with this time in my life.

What are four qualities your friends would attribute to you?

I try not to boast in myself, you’ll have to ask them yourself.

What are three things you are most thankful for?

Grace

Providence

Family

Describe the character and personality traits you enjoy in another person? What are yours?

Every person is different, but typically humility, optimism, and determination.

I’d like to think I embody these same things but we all have a part of our self that is blind to us so I’m not entirely sure.

Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and how?

My grandparents. They were the tiny island out in the middle of a roaring ocean.

What contributed to your previous relationship/marriage ending?

Long distance, not enough time to talk

How long have you been on your own since and what did you to do get through it?

I guess you’ll have to talk to me to find out.

Favorite lines from movies, poems, songs, hymns or Scripture you would like to tell us about?

Frodo: Go back, Sam! I’m going to Mordor alone.

Sam: Of course you are, and I’m coming with you!

‘Child,’ said the Lion, ‘I am telling you your story, not hers. No one is told any story but their own.’

“Jesus sought me when a stranger

Wandering from the fold of God

He, to rescue me from danger

Interposed His precious blood”

“I have been bent and broken, but – I hope – into a better shape”

What type of work do/did you do?

Design stuff on the computer thingy

How long have you been/were you in that line of work? Do/you enjoy it?

3-4 years

Do you have any life-long goals? What are they?

Sure I do, they are pretty good I’d say.

Where were you born and where have you traveled?

In this day and age you have to be careful saying where you’re from.

I’ve traveled through most of the South, some of the Midwest, part way up the original North and then to the Bahamas.

Is there anything that the questionnaire didn’t cover?

This questionnaire forgot to ask about my bank account info and social security number.

P.S. I do not currently have a paid subscription so I use the Instant Messaging system
