Feel free to ask; nothing to hide & nothing to fear, I just don’t like, nor find it very wise, to post too many personal details on the Internet these days, especially in the current social environment we find ourselves in…
Same as above =)

|Tell us about your family. How do you feel about relocating?||
Both the family / body of Christ, & the flesh-&-blood family, are important… but remember, Christ came not to bring peace, but a sword of division, even among families. Clearly, the goal is to maintain as much peace as possible… but at times it will be impossible…
Luke 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: 52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, & two against three. 53 The father shall be divided against the son, & the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, & the daughter against the mother; the mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, & the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. 35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, & the daughter against her mother, & the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. 37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: & he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
I’ve a very small immediate family. ~4 years ago, although we are close, I left my family on the west coast to relocate to the east coast, to attend a small (~200+ people) but very vibrant & fervent, cohesive church in the city I live in… It’s FAR from perfect, & the way the pastor put it, “We are just a bag of wretched saved sinners striving to love Jesus Christ more,” rings very true.
Please keep these important quotes by CHARLES SPURGEON below, in mind…
It is understood that C.H. Spurgeon is not God / Jesus Christ, nor was he included in the 66 books of the Bible, but he said it well: “If I had never joined a church till I had found one that was perfect, I should never have joined one at all; & the moment I did join it, if I had found one, I should have spoiled it, for it would not have been a perfect church after I had become a member of it. Still, imperfect as it is, it is the dearest place on earth to us.”
And… “There is no perfect church in this world. A ‘good’ church is made up of imperfect people with a strong desire for God & His word.”
I’ve been involved in this church for the past 10+ years, so I’d like to see myself continuing to build connections with my “family” here (striving to be very loyal), unless there was another church elsewhere that matched, or surpassed, the one I am currently attending, in terms of preaching doctrinal TRUTH, pushing each other towards the LORD, following the Bible & not man’s tradition, etc. Please DEFINITELY feel free to ask more questions!
|How old were you when you were drawn to Christ and how is your Christian walk these days?||
I’m blessed to have been born & raised in a Christian Baptist household… but not until I was ~22 – 23 years old did I have a “Paul-on-the-road-to-Damascus” moment. This was the period in my life where I believe the LORD “turned my lights on;” where I came to understand the LORD’s role in “quickening” (bringing to life, not making one speedy) & regeneration, & man’s role in conversion (all terms found in the Bible). Much more could be said about this topic, & would be very open to discussing further!
Everyone’s Christian walk could definitely use some improvement, mine included. Some people do really well by speaking up / speaking their piece in church or @ the pulpit, or encouraging others, or being hospitable, giving of one’s time & resources… I’d definitely look towards improving the first two, & continue to polish the latter.
|How have the Doctrines of Grace changed or affected your life?||
Drastically. And I mean radically. I found out that what I had been brought up to believe & what was preached in certain Baptist (& Pentecostal) churches, was unfortunately not biblically / doctrinally correct. The sense of simultaneous anger / frustration / irritation, etc., with previous pastors, teachings, etc., due to having been taught wrong, but on the other hand, a complete relief, joy, fascination, an incredible exuberance, etc., that the LORD had cracked open His truth (which He doesn’t give to everyone), for ME, was overwhelming! This caused me to DEVOUR more of His word, & plunged me for hours, in reading & research… The Doctrines of Grace spurred me to find a church that WAS preaching / living His truth, & thus, why I moved from the west coast to the east coast, though it meant leaving my family…
Matthew 13:44 – “…the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, & for joy thereof goeth & selleth all that he hath, & buyeth that field.”
|Do you have a "Quiet Time?" What are you studying?||
Usually in the evenings, sometimes in the mornings, more so on the weekends, sometimes during free weekdays, from random places & random topics, really. For example, I’ll get on a kick looking into the finer details of how long Noah & his family were in the ark during the Flood, or the name, Lucifer (in Isaiah 14), refers to who? Also studying + (trying to) putting into practice how to be a better man, how to lead a best friend & future spouse; what the LORD Jesus Christ expects of us & the details He wants us to know about Him if we are to have a relationship with Him; reading / studying a lot on nutrition & healthy these days as I find it fascinating, etc…
|Who is your favorite Biblical Character and why?||
Isn’t Christ supposed to be our favorite Biblical character? =) I suppose it if had to be a favorite secondary Biblical character, it might be Paul, since he was so articulate, detailed, direct & to the point, eloquent at other times…
|Are you content being single? Why? If not, why?||
Honestly? 😏 The time for contentment being single has had its fill & reached its limits, though one cannot force the LORD’s hand. The LORD did say, “It is not good for man to be alone.” & also, “Two are better than one.”
There is a time to work, & a time to rest…
…a time to eat, & a time to fast…
…a time to go, & a time to stay…
…& a time to be single, as well as a time to be together (LOL <<< that part isn’t actually in the Bible 😜, but you get my drift).
One can only do & learn so much being single. There is another aspect of learning, growing, etc., that most likely can only be achieved by being together with someone, that comes from showing hospitality to others, building a home, giving & sacrificing for the other person…
|What are four qualities your friends would attribute to you?||
Please let me be humble in stating that I’d like to give you the chance to figure out some of those qualities, if we should talk – I really dislike speaking to my own qualities, as a person can be quite biased. I mean, come on, you’re asking a deceitful heart.
However, if I must… If you haven’t noticed already: definitely not shy, but BOLD, driven, ambitious, deep-thinking, soft-spoken, reserved, sociable, cryptic old soul who doesn’t follow crowds. Also a passionate RDN (who’s been told he’s a decent cook); an avid movie collector, heat-generating cuddler, & adventurous explorer!
|What are three things you are most thankful for?||
Sovereign grace, raw milk, & technology (such as contact lenses!).
|Describe the character and personality traits you enjoy in another person? What are yours?||
I’d like to find my best friend (age range: mid? 20’s to early ~30’s?) who:
– first & foremost, strives to possess & exhibit an independent fear of the LORD (Prov 31:30; i.e., follows / is open-minded to listen to what the Bible actually says, rather than man’s traditions or what he has invented (Col 2:8)…
…& secondly, wants to GROW / work TOGETHER in perfecting each other (Proverbs 27:17 – iron sharpeneth iron) in as many of the traits down below as possible (no single person has them all, including me; I, too, am a work in progress to become a more perfect person (2 Tim 3:16-17)!). This is not a laundry list that you have to possess before I even consider talking to you! 😜
Let’s BOTH work on GROWING 😘 TOGETHER, & be:
|Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and how?||
A pastor who really has done a lot of work in opening up & expounding the Scriptures for me to understand, who really studies to show himself approved, who has in large part, rightly divided the Word of God to help me understand it!
|What contributed to your previous relationship/marriage ending?||
This answer has been intentionally & purposefully left out; it is available immediately upon request. There’s nothing to hide; just a bit too long, & I’m also trying to work on being more gracious (meaning, the details of a previous courtship between me & a young woman don’t necessarily need to be aired out like laundry 😏) Feel free to ask, though; I’m prepared!
|How long have you been on your own since and what did you to do get through it?||
It’s been a while since the above happened… but continually praying that perhaps the young woman might turn around, or that the LORD bring someone else soon.
|Favorite lines from movies, poems, songs, hymns or Scripture you would like to tell us about?||
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Acts 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, & glorified the word of the Lord: & as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
Jeremiah 33:3 – Call unto me, & I will answer thee, & shew thee great & mighty things, which thou knowest not.
“Have you been asking God what He is going to do? He will never tell you. God does not tell you what He is going to do; He reveals to you Who He is.” – Oswald Chambers
“Doubt is not always a sign that a man is wrong; it may be a sign that he is thinking.” – Oswald Chambers
So many more!
|What type of work do/did you do?||
Feel free to ask =)
|How long have you been/were you in that line of work? Do/you enjoy it?||
I’ve been in my current line of work for the last, oh…7 – 8 years. It is enjoyable, but looking to expand & do more things in my field!
|Do you have any life-long goals? What are they?||
My goals? To continue being part of my current (or any) fervent, Jesus-Christ-promoting church in the city I live in… to be more involved in hospitality… to join with a like-minded believer / best friend / woman / partner / wife / spouse / lover, etc., & live a life to God’s glory… To maybe get a full-time position where I’m currently working one of my part-time jobs, if it be by the LORD’s blessing…
|Where were you born and where have you traveled?||
Feel free to ask. I have been back to the place where I was born, a few times.
Have also traveled to Canada on several occasions; all over the United States; been to Singapore once, & Australia twice.
|How do you enjoy your leisure time? What do you do for recreation?||
– Bowling (it’s a good workout, as well!)
– Hiking (I’m originally from the PNW; some great trails & scenery)
– Skiing (though I’m less tolerant or liking of cold weather these days)
– Working out (as in outside, outdoors, in the sunshine, building things, etc.)
– LOVE board (anyone want to play some Monopoly or Risk!?) & card games
– Entertaining (cooking, serving, hosting)
– Gardening / home improvement
– Reading (all sorts of theological, as well as nutrition books, including but not limited to: dangers of fluoride (yes, it’s real), dangers of vaccination (yes, they are real, too))
– Volunteering (our church really takes this seriously)
– Action movies, foreign films (I got a great, long list for those cold, rainy, wintery evenings), musicals (yes, Sound of Music is one of my favorites), westerns (LOVE me some John Wayne), documentaries on certain topics, etc.
– Road trips / weekend getaways
– Listening to classical music & opera, some country (don’t push it, though =P)
– Baking, barbecues, cooking, fine dining, healthy / simple eating…
Wanna join me? 😉
|Is there anything that the questionnaire didn’t cover?||
Apologies in advance; please allow me to impose upon your patience for just a few more minutes! =) I believe what’s written down below is also very important, nonetheless. It’s intended to make you think deeply. There are many benefits to reading the fine print; I promise, no adverse side-effects!
A. Authentic, unique, LOADED, sober profile, & genuine author. However, username is a pen name. Please understand.
B. Job applications inquire, “Sex:_?” I write in: “Never had it.” >>> THIS will be my first gift to you.
C. I scream the same way whether I see a snake, or a piece of seaweed touches my foot.
D. I promise I’m not intimidating; I just read a LOT & am very bold! Try me 😉 I’m neither average, nor stupid.
E. It’s crucial to read the “To Me, Being a Christian Means:” section down below. A future relationship HINGES on worshipping God in spirit & truth, together (2 Cor 6:14).
F. I tie my own shoes, brush my own hair, make my own bed…well, only if my mom isn’t home.
G. I’m running as fast as I can towards the LORD; if you’re able to keep up, please introduce yourself!
H. If you desire a 5-course meal, I’ll gladly prepare your order. Otherwise, if you want a burger & fries, I’ll kindly point you to McDonald’s right down the street (there is a very deep meaning behind the previous statement).
I. “Compatible character & conduct” or “chance & chemistry”? Which do you prefer?
J. Critical Thinker (the other national deficit). If you’re not a fan, I probably won’t spark your interest. Only the dead go w/ the flow (Luke 16:15).
K. I love to clean, no joke!
L. If you’re fluent in sarcasm, that’s a language I don’t speak very well.
M. Please don’t get discouraged if I have very little interest in talking about / watching sports (e.g., football). Is throwing an oddly-shaped ball among grossly-overpaid meatheads going to have any significance when Christ returns, or in heaven? Let’s discuss!
N. If I steal your heart, will I be guilty of breaking the 8th Commandment?
———- ———- ———- ———- ———- ———- ———- ———- ———- ———- ———- ———- ———- ———- ———- ———- ———- ———- ———- ———- ———-
TO ME, BEING A CHRISTIAN MEANS:
A. …ANYTHING but modern, contemporary Christianity!
B. …earnestly contending for the faith once delivered unto the saints.
C. …obedience isn’t legalism; it’s a symptom of genuine salvation.
D. …spiritual maturity is measured by how straight you walk in obedience, not how high you jump in praise.
E. Jesus said, “Search the scriptures.” Well, which scriptures? I prefer / use the King James Version, having noticed, based on considerable personal research & from other experts, that many Bible versions sadly contain many errors / omit key doctrinal words / change concepts (feel free to ask me more!). Here’s a pop quiz question: “Who killed Goliath in the Bible version you use?” If you use the NIV, NASV, ESV, maybe others, you might find an interesting surprise (check ’em ). However, I want to be gracious in saying that a person’s eternal salvation doesn’t depend on the version they use; God saves without the Bible (think Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, other people in the Old & New Testament, before the Bible was finally put together)…
F. Have come to realize, after much research over the years (& even many discussions with other believers), that Christmas… Please feel free to ask 😃
G. Believe Christ commanded us to remember baptism & His death, by way of simple communion (Luke 22:19, etc.), w/ real wine & unleavened bread… not white, Aspirin / pill-like tablets (true story!) or crackers, grape juice, nor pagan Eastre (Easter) w/ fertile bunny wabbits & eggs.
H. Singing & worshiping in church… Please do not hesitate to bring up the discussion.
I. Speaking in tongues… Same as above.
J. Strongly support a wife’s ministry at home or even a career (I’ll root for ya, babe!), helping the man raise healthy, intelligent, respectful, spiritually-minded kids, instead of pr/teaching in church (1 Cor 14:34 / 1 Tim 2:11-12; think Jory Micah, Joyce Meyer, Paula White, etc. – let’s discuss!). I’ll put you 2nd to Christ!
K. In these perilous last days (2 Tim 3:1), 99.99% (speaking from, sadly, plenty of experience w/ people who boasted that they were true Christ-followers) of Christianity doesn’t serve the God of the Bible in spirit & in truth. Ghastly, no? What percentage are you in? Do you seek the LORD’s truth, or man’s fables / traditions / opinions? “[Don’t let me] therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth.” (Gal 4:16). “From that time, many of his disciples went back, & walked no more w/ him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?” (John 6:66-67).
“Never judge a book by its cover” rings true…
There are a thousand true things about me up above, yet two things are false. Feel free to ask =)
