Tell us about your family. How do you feel about relocating?

My family is very close. I grew up in a pastor’s family, and I have two older sisters and a brother-in-law. My parents have always set such a great example for what a Godly marriage should be. I love living close to my family, but I would definitely relocate if the Lord leads me elsewhere.

How old were you when you were drawn to Christ and how is your Christian walk these days?

I’m blessed to have never known a day without Christ. Although it wasn’t until high school when I began to truly recognize my need for a Savior and develop a personal relationship with Christ. My relationship with Him is my top priority in life.

How have the Doctrines of Grace changed or affected your life?

I absolutely love studying and discussing the Doctrines of Grace because they are so deeply rooted in Scripture. Over the years, my eyes have been opened to just how sinful we are and just how merciful God is. No one deserves an ounce of His grace, and that makes me realize how deep His love for His children really is. Because of Christ’s atoning work on the cross, we are truly redeemed. He knew me and my heart before the foundations of the world, and He still chose to make me His own. His sovereignty and love are overwhelming to think about.

Do you have a "Quiet Time?" What are you studying?

Yes! I am currently doing a chronological study of the Bible. I also love reading books and devotionals by R.C Sproul, John Piper, and Elisabeth Elliot.

Who is your favorite Biblical Character and why?

I have always loved Paul and Noah. Watching how God transformed Saul into the man of faith that Paul became is a wonderful example of God’s abundant grace and mercy. Even with the most unlikely of people, His grace is sufficient! I have always found Noah interesting because when God gave him instructions, he obeyed immediately. He clearly had a great deal of patience while building the ark and displayed unwavering faithfulness to the Lord. Without being given a timeline, Noah continued to do what the Lord had called him to do, trusting in what He said.

Are you content being single? Why? If not, why?

Yes, I am content being single if that is what the Lord wants for me. However, I do feel as though He has placed the desire in my heart to be a wife and a mother one day.

What are four qualities your friends would attribute to you?

My friends have previously told me that I am compassionate, encouraging, laid-back, and have a good sense of humor.

What are three things you are most thankful for?

-My Lord and Savior

-My family

Describe the character and personality traits you enjoy in another person? What are yours?

A man who loves the Lord with all his heart and seeks to serve and glorify Him in every aspect of his life. Someone who is a leader, is sweet and thoughtful, has a good sense of humor, protective (makes me feel safe), and is good with kids. Also, someone who is patient, caring, slow to anger, and quick to listen.

Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and how?

I would have to say my two older sisters. We have always been very close. They are my best friends, and I’m so thankful for their love, advice, and influence in my life. I have also been heavily influenced by Elisabeth Elliot. After reading many of her books over the last several years, she has taught me a lot about how to live my life in surrender unto the Lord and how to be the woman He has called me to be.

Favorite lines from movies, poems, songs, hymns or Scripture you would like to tell us about?

There are so many! I’m all about a good quote…but just a couple:

“…for He already had in mind what He was going to do.”~John 6:6 (This is yet another good reminder of God’s sovereignty. Even when we are feeling unsure or anxious, we can trust that He is already at work and He has a plan for our lives.)

“A quiet heart is content with what God gives. It is enough. All is grace.” ~Elisabeth Elliot

Some more favorites are 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, Romans 12:2, Hebrews 12, and Job 37-42.

What type of work do/did you do?

I work at a daycare as the teacher for the two year old class.

How long have you been/were you in that line of work? Do/you enjoy it?

I started at the daycare almost 5 years ago. I really enjoy my kids! It is a privilege to take care of them, love them, and teach their young hearts about God’s love.

Do you have any life-long goals? What are they?

I would love to have a ministry with middle school and high school students, specifically young girls. I would also love to pursue more short-term mission work opportunities. I went to Haiti on a mission trip 3 years ago, and it completely changed my life.

Where were you born and where have you traveled?

I was born and raised in Atlanta, but now live in South Carolina. I don’t travel as often as I would like. Aside from going to Haiti, I haven’t been out of the country any other time.

How do you enjoy your leisure time? What do you do for recreation?

I am an avid movie-watcher. I love reading, spending time with my family, and fishing.
